Referral Incentives Setup

Cash is king!  What better way to say "thank you" to your customers than by providing them with a cash Referral Incentive.  Also, you may want to consider offering a special discount or promo to each New Customer that is referred to you. 

The two Referral Incentives that you can customize with the Eferral Business app are:   

(1) Cash Referral Incentive - which is how much you agree to pay someone if they referred you a new paying customer; the other incentive is a

(2) New Customer Incentive - which is a special discount or promotion that you would offer for to each New Customer that is referred to you.  Some examples of this New Customer Incentive offer are:  BOGO, 10% off your first purchase, free shipping on your first order, etc... 

See below example to help determine an appropriate Cash Referral Incentive, as well as, instructions on customizing your Eferral Business account.  This takes less than 5 minutes.

How to Setup

# 1 - Cash Referral Incentive

1. Login to your Eferral Business App.

2. Visit the menu tab (upper left-hand corner) of your Business Dashboard page.

3. Click on "Edit Profile"

 

4. Point of Contact -- Make sure you have the right name, number, and email address for the person that you would like to receive referrals from your customers.  Some companies have a sales team and would like to specify a department or a particular sales person.  If this is not you, then leave this info blank as it will default to you.  

5. Update the following field, "Referral Incentive (How Much You Pay Per Referral)".  This can be found underneath the "Business" category.  

  • To help calculate the Referral Incentive $ amount to offer your referring customers, research recommends budgeting 10-25% of your average transaction size. 

  • For example, if your average products/service sale was $200, you would enter $20-$50 as your cash Referral Incentive to be paid to your referring customers. 

  • Remember, Eferral only charges your billing method on file once you've confirmed there was a completed sale!

How to Setup

# 2 - New Customer Incentive

1. Login to your Eferral Business App.

2. Visit the menu tab (upper left-hand corner) of your Business Dashboard page.

3. Click on "Edit Profile"

5. Update the following field, "New Customer Incentive (Not Required)".  This can be found underneath the "Business" category.  

  • Some examples of special discounts/promotions that other businesses have uses as their New Customer Incentive offer are:  BOGO, 10% off your first purchase, free shipping on your first order, etc... . 

  • ** Important Note:  Your business is responsible for honoring this incentive, not Eferral.  We simply provide you the ability to state your New Customer Incentive offer and make it possible for your existing customers to send referrals to their friends with these unique offers that will publish in the referral messages that are sent out from our platform (i.e. text, email, etc..).  Also, we technically would have no way to honor this offer.
